We Are Open.............

We have taken the plunge and re opened..

Cassy & Mandy

This time we are even bigger.
This is a real joint effort also not just me. Sitting around crafting one Friday we all began to chat about opening a shop....From there the idea was born..I am blessed to have some great friends that helped and encouraged me to start again....(Thanks girls Mel, Michelle and Cassy)...
Cassy has been thrown in the deep end and minds the shop on our busiest day Sunday while I am at markets.

With out my amazing Husband none of this would be possible.
Bruce has encouraged me, given up his shed for the shop and worked to clean, build and pull it all together.

Plus he gives up his weekends to help me at the markets...
I am truly blessed to have this man by my side.

The Old Dairy Shop.

Hi All
and Welcome back.

I have so busy this last month doing Saturday markets. It has been such a success I have decided to open a shop in the Old Dairy.

I have lots of bric-a-brac for sale.

Furniture
One room is set up for vintage and used goods and the other room for Handmade items.

I have pillows.

Dishcloths and facecloths, knitted and crocheted.

Lots of candles, melts and tea light candles.

Hand cut pressed metal hearts as well.

And lots of soap.

I have already sold so much and I haven't even opened yet.

Having a shop has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.
What made me start now you ask?
I read a sign in a coffee shop that said.
If you are not
Doing what you love
You are wasting
Your time.

So I decided to turn doing what I love into a part time business..

Enjoy your week.
The Last of 2014 and ask your self
Are you doing what you Love?

Hello Betty......

Here I was driving in Cairns on holidays towing a caravan and look what we see...

Once that van was set up and the kids were all good we went back looking for Betty....What a treasure trove.

This funky chick meet us in the door, so much to see in this shop I had a great time.

Furniture, clothes, brick-a- brac every thing, they had. Being on holidays I couldn't get to much.
I got some records, broaches and a out fit.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, I had the boots already though. I know this will be my new favourite winter outfit.

I went into to so many vintage and thrift shops on holidays, the kids were groaning hahaha. Never mind I know deep inside they were having fun........

Till next time

Sheet to Skirt.........

Hi All
Wanted to share my favourite skirt with you.
I have a great collection of vintage sheets and when I got this one I new it would make a great summer skirt.

I even got some cute little flats to go with it.

But I mostly just use my sheets on my bed.

The purple ones below are my favourites though.

Have a great week.

What is vintage?

Hi and welcome to my blog.
I have been blogging for a few years now and in that time I have seen a change, more and more people are buying vintage items.
But what is vintage?

Is it a collection of fine bone china?

Or may-be Old linen.

Furniture even for inside and out. Then there are some wonderful blogs out there about vintage clothing.

I have always shopped at op shops, my Mother and Grand mother did as well. My Grandmother never bought any thing new in her life. My earliest memories of her is going around the thrift shops for bargains.
This blog will be dedicated to showing all my wonderful finds in these shops.

What is Vintage to you.
